  • BioTrack and Agricultural record keeping:

    BioTrack can be used for any type of organic agricultural activity, but includes:

    • Arable farming
    • Mixed Farming
    • MEM (Milk-Eggs-Meat production)
    • Horticulture
    • Tree Fruit
    • Pastoral farming

    The Health certification requirements for MEM farmers are quite different to other types of agricultural production. Therefore, for simpicity, if you keep livestock for production purposes, you are classified as an MEM farmer in BioTrack. If you also carry out arable farming, you will also be classifed as an Arable farmer in BioTrack.

    General Farm Record keeping

    There are several agricultural record keeping requirements, and these are included in BioTrack:

    These are the basic Reference data that need to be defined:

    1. Crop / Product definition
    2. Land registry / Production facility register
    3. Regime of cultivation definition
    4. Registry of Agricultural inputs
    5. Register of Animal type / species
    6. Registry of Animal dispoal types
    7. Definition of your Agricultural enterprises
    8. Definition of Agricultural activity types
    9. Definition of storage and machinery locations

    These are the mandatory registries that need to be maintained:

    1. Agricultural Production Log
    2. Agricultural Inputs Log
    3. Agricultural Activity Log
    4. Animal Stock records
    5. Animal Health records
    6. Animal Stock Sales / Movements
    7. Production sales & invoices
    8. Input Purchases & invoices
    9. Supplier list and certifications

    These are additional but useful data to help manage your farm’s profitability:

    Reports of Agricultural activity:

    All accounting, sales, purchase, traceability, stock, sales, Product testing, QA and health reports are available, and you can see these featues in the relevant sections.
